In the pound dogs have 2 weeks to be adopted before being put down, but wouldn't it be nice to know how much time that dog has left?

Like a countdown or when the dog was put up for adoption?

And are the dogs put down at midnight on there final day regardless of the time of day they were admitted or the hour/minute they entered the pound? I'd assume midnight, but it doesn't specify.

I started Alacrity days ago and I adopted my first dog. I've been keeping an eye on the pound for a start fresh now that I have a better idea what to do (not ditching my first dog!), but as I'm looking through the profiles I wonder how long they have.

Should I rescue that gorgeous, smooth blue, sheltie glitch now or wait the 11 days it has left and see if someone else takes it in?

11 days is a random number. I looked into the previous owner's log on their profile and there's been too much recent activity so there's no record of when the dog ran or was abandoned. The log only lists so many events.

If I knew how much time it had left I could hold off a rescue without risking euthanasia.

Of course there's more to it than glitch rescues, I'm just using the sheltie as an example.
